A Step Forward for Rainbow Communities Everywhere- Legalization of Same-Sex Marriage in the U.S.

On June 26, 2015, a very divided Supreme Court ruled that no states in the U.S. can ban same-sex marriage, making the United States the 21st country to legalise same-sex marriage nationwide. Married same-sex couples will now have the same legal rights and benefits as heterosexual couples in the country. They will also be officially included on birth and death certificates.
