I spent a semester off-campus in the Newhouse NYC program. I interned in the radio department at CBS News in the CBS Broadcasting Center. Some of my tasks included:

  • Cutting three-hour CBS This Morning show into mini segments for CBS radio app

  • Helping with podcast recordings, including new podcast "Where Did You Get This Number?

  • Managing ‘Today in History’ archival footage by updating existing stories and adding new ones

  • Compiling research for Judge Brett Kavanaugh trial coverage

  • Helping cover 2018 midterm elections (8-hour live show) by putting together information sheets about the candidates for the newsroom as well as calling in guest speakers on Skype and by phone as well as monitoring time stamps

  • Collecting interview tape for Thanksgiving Day coverage
